Travelling or Relocating with Your Pet to Taiwan
The following is a summary of requirements for importing pets to Taiwan:
Must be vaccinated against Rabies:
for the primary vaccine, at 90 days old, or older. The length of time between the date of vaccination and date of shipment must be between 180 days and 1 year. In the case of a booster vaccine, the pet must be vaccinated no more than 1 year before entering Taiwan.
Must apply for an Import Permit from an Animal Quarantine Authority at least 30 days prior to entry.

Rabies Vaccination Certificate from a veterinarian in your country:
- must include breed, sex, age and microchip number
- date of vaccination against rabies
- no clinical signs of rabies upon inspection
- at least 0.5IU/ml rabies antibody
Copy of your passport
Report of rabies titre, with an antibody of at least 0.5IU/ml (as stated above). Blood sampling must be no less than 180 days and no more than 2 years prior to entry into Taiwan.
Upon entry, your dog or cat will be detained at the point of entry for 21 days. Once confirmed that there is no clinical evidence of any communicable diseases, they will be released.
